Bella=kind

Bella is the kindest young lady.  She is so much fun to be with.  We love to shop together and go to the park.  This morning we both had haircuts and while I was trying to comb through my hair before we left she just stares and says, "Mom you're so pretty."  In the morning when she wakes up she will always give you a hug and kiss and then hold you.  She loves to laugh and thinks so many things are funny.  Her smile can light up a room.  She loves her baby dolls and names all of them Kassidy (her little sisters name).  If she doesn't like something she will use her lips and give you a raspberry which we think is hilarious.  She will always start a conversation with, "hello, how are you doing."  or "let's talk".  Each morning she walks down the stairs looking For grandma and grandpa and stands and shouts, "Hello grandma, Hello grandpa."  She adores her cousins.  Lately she has been pretending alot with people she knows.  She sets up her house in her bedroom and then asks me to visit.  I come in and she says, "Hello mom, you say Hi to Tia and Tod"  she then points to her bed and says they are sitting on the couch (her bed).  She is constantly on her pretend phone whether it be a banana or block, etc. talking to Abby.  She always wants to put on a dress in the morning.  She likes to look "pretty"  as she calls it.  She adores elderly people and will walk right up to them and start talking.  She just loves to have fun and wants everyone to be a part of it.  She is a joy and great source of happiness.   She is always concerned about others especially if they are hurt.  She will always try to make them feel better. She is a little mommy:)

Awards and Sports

We are very proud of Josh.  First, I decided it was time to teach him how to work with wood so we built this cool shelf.  He drew plans, sanded, glued, screwed boards together, and held things while I worked on it.  He also helped paint it.  It turned out Fabulous!  Also on his last day he received and award for outstanding fitness in front of the whole school!  Josh is very obedient, kind, sensitive, and willing to help everyone and be everybody's friend.  He had a great year in 1st grade and scored off the charts on his testing.  He loves to read.  He likes Junie B. Jones and Treehouse books.  He still likes picture books and reads them over and over again.  He likes to read to Bella.  His example is teaching Bella how to love books.  She now pulls books off the shelf and will sit and look at all the pictures.  He LOVES to read Narnia, Gregor, and other series books with his Dad.  He played BBall 2 seasons for the YMCA with his Dad as his coach.  He is in his second swimming class and can almost swim the length of the pool.  Josh is an amazing boy.  He has loved helping is Abuelo cut down trees and haul branches and stack wood.  He would go out there everyday if I drove him.  He loves his bike, his longboard, and is funny on rollerblades.  He is an excellent dancer.  He also loves to organize, do arts and crafts(he is with mom a lot), play games, draw, and read lots of non fiction.  He also likes to save everything so I have to get rid of stuff while he is out of the house:)

Safeco Field-Mariners!

Brien said he had a surprise family activity for the family Tuesday night and wouldn't tell any of us what he had planned.  He rushed us out of the house right after I taught piano and we drove till Seattle.  I finally figured it out=Mariners game.  The kids LOVED IT.  Josh was into the game and dancing when the music was playing and Belles LOVED the airplanes that kept flying overhead so it was a win win.  They got these cool awards saying it was their first time coming and a big poster and baseball cards.  We are definitely doing this again!!!!  BTW:  Buy food before you go.  IT IS WAY to much money there.

Random

First picture:  As I was doing laundry Belles sees this box, puts it on and says, "look mom, I'm a monster!"

This is Josh's art project from school.  It is the home of an artic wolf.  He did a great job on his report and learned a lot about the continents and what lives on them.  He wanted to save this gem, but I convinced him it would be better to take a picture because the ants would like to eat that sugar he used to make sparkly snow.  He agreed.

Do you remember doing this?  I had forgotten until Josh runs to me outside and says, "look how sharp it is!"  I so did this as a kid when mom would buy us candy sticks.

Sisters

A happy father's day to Kevin!  Belles made him a card and showed everyone pictures on the camera.  She also became the photograph as soon as she got ahold of the camera.  Everyday Bella asks if she is going to see Kassidy and then she will always say, "I love Kassidy."  Mom, "you love Kassidy?"  It is really cute.  You can sure tell these two have a connection.  Kassidy would smile and then talk to Bella.  It was adorable.  A fun visit!

A warm JUNE!

We had a fun day jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler under it.

When they play nice it is perfect.

A little Salsa and chips before church.  Josh got the idea to make letters and he and Bella had tons of fun.

Did we mention she really loves dogs?

Belles found some old dress up/halloween costumes.  She LOVED the dog outfit.  Once of her favorite things to do is pretend to be a doggy.  Another cute thing she has been doing is putting a blanket over her rocking chair in her room and then sitting in it and then yells, "Hey, I'm Santa"  She then wants us to sit on her lap and she says, "what do you want?"  Then she pretends to grab what we want and gives it to us.  It is very cute.

This is for you Jennifer

So the comment on the last post was that every post the kids are so happy and it must look like we are always that way.  We try to be, but we have plenty of moments.  Bella found deodorant and decided to cover her bedroom walls in it.  She loves the smell, but the mess was a bit harder to clean up.  She knows she is not suppose to be in it, but by using creative means she managed to get ahold of a stick!

Dad

They always love being with their Dad, so whenever he is home they follow him around and hang on him.  I think he loves the attention:)

Pals

So Belles likes to wear Josh's t-shirts to bed.  Every time we sit down to eat Belles scoots her bowl next to Josh ands says, "sit by you Josh" and then puts her arm around him real tight and smiles. Then says, "Hey Josh".  I love it when they are nice to each other.

Zoo

I got to be a helper at Josh's zoo field trip.  It was a beautiful day and lots of fun.  I will tell you the reason I love the school Josh is attending.  He has 25 kids in his class and we had 21 parents volunteers come.  This happens at every event.  I love how involved the parents are in their children's education, even the dads.

Mother's day

I spent the morning sleeping in.  Josh had been sick the night before and spent it throwing up and then coughing all night.  I hear noise at 7am in the morning, but I am too tired to get up.  I heard plates, etc.  Then after about 20 minutes it was quiet again.  When I got up at 8:30 I walked out and saw the table all set.  I went looking for Josh and headed to his room.  On the closed door was a note that said, "come in Mom"  I opened the door and saw orange post it notes everywhere with things he loves doing with me and what I am good at.  When I went to say thank  you he was fast asleep still not feeling good.  He had spent the previous night and stayed up quite late to get it all ready.  I had no idea.  They  made me cards, coupons, pictures, hugs, and kisses, breakfast, and a nice dinner.  This was the best mother's day ever!  I am grateful for my children because they show me what love really is.

Pretending

It is so cute.  Bella has started to pretend and play store.  Her and Josh set up a rock store.  Josh would collect rocks on the bike then bring them over to Bella where she would get them all set up.  I became the customer and they gave me a debit card.  I would go up to the store and Belles would say, "Hello, how you doing?  You want to buy something?"  I would of course say yes and tell her what I wanted.  She would then tell me it was going to cost $100 dollars and swipe my debit card.  then say, "Here you going!"  "See ya later."  "Thank you."  "Love you."   There is a reason mom's should stay home if they are able to...you can never get these moments back and it is when I am the happiest and so are they.  My job is to play most of the day and teach them how to be amazing people.  Best job in the world! My pay is in smiles and laughter-I'll take it.

Party with the cousins

Another fun family get together.  Bella is learning to like the trampoline and she absolutely LOVES dogs.  She loves to be outside.

Nighttime

Found these 2 on the couch playing while I was getting stuff ready for bedtime.  They are cute together.

Dress Up

I took this picture off my sister-in-laws blog because I thought it was adorable and shows just how much fun girls really have.  I LOVE DRESS UP!!!!
