The reward

We have one interested little girl in the potty.  She is no longer bathing her babies in it, but she actually wants to use it!  She gets a treat when she goes.  We will start real potty training next week....we will NOT be leaving the house:)

This past week I babysat for one of Brien's co-workers.  He was such a sweet boy.  We had lots of fun, especially at the park.  They are not fighting over the toy...one would hold the ring while the other would pull the birds legs and it would shake.  They thought it was funny.  Also in one of the pictures you will see a white thing in Belles mouth.  It is a fireball.  I thought for sure she would spit it out, I have to when I eat them, but she kept that in the whole time but her face sure told the story of how hot it was but she refused to spit it out when I asked her.

Miss Independent

Monday night we decided to go play basketball at the church.  Bella likes to play on the stage.  It turns out someone left a pair of children's scissors (you know the kind that don't even cute paper) on the stage.  As I see her come out from the curtain with scissors, I take them away quickly.  then she says, "mom cut hair".  That's right.  She cut of one side of her hair, we were so sad, yet she was so proud and excited.  She lets everyone know that she has cut her hair.  I don't understand how those scissors cut through her hair, but they sure did.  I told Brien we should cut the other side the same way, then she would have a mullet:)  TRUE SEDRO

Cutest little girl

Belles loves to get all dressed up.  I found her these jelly shoes at the goodwill and she now has to wear them with every outfit.  That is well spent 0.99 cents!   Baby usually comes everywhere with us.  We asked her what her babies name was and she always says, "Bella".

I need to start writing down the fun, embarrassing, and Bella"isms"  that happen.  A few days we were at Grocery outlet and I am holding her at the check out stand and she starts getting really excited and pointed.  Then she starts yelling out, "SANTA, SANTA, HI SANTA"  She is waving as hard as she can trying to get "Santa's attention.  Well....a few checkstands over was a customer with a long white beard and hair.  I have to say he did kinda look like santa.  We all got a kick out of it.

Today was the 100th day of school.  They told all the first graders that they could dress up like they were 100 years old.  Josh loved the idea so we went and borrowed some items.  I love that kids enjoy life and have fun doing simple things.  I think he looks cute in the glasses.  I also love that he has missing teeth.  I hope he has a great day today at school.  He says he is also going to play kick o mania like an old man at recess.  We will see how that goes.

Thanks for the dress Reese

Bella just inherited this cute dress from her cousin Reese.  She absolutely loves it and wanted her picture taken of course.  She loves the camera.  She is turning into a little girl, the baby is gone!

La Hacienda and great company!

We had a great time at dinner with Kevin and Jelly.  Is was so much fun seeing and holding baby Kassidy.  I wish we had more time!  Bella had to feed Kassidy her bottle and wanted to do it all by herself.  I have to admit I was a little scared when she took over, but once she was holding the bottle it got a lot better.  Kassidy looks SO much like Bella.  What a cutie pie:)  Bella enjoyed taking pictures of Kevin and Jelly.  I think she did a great job.

Grandma Ellen

Grandma Ellen passed away on January 24, 2013 at the age of 97.  We flew out to Utah for the day/evening.  Grandma always remembered all of our birthdays, even the great great grandchildren.  She always sent a card and a stick of gum.  Even when she couldn't write anymore she had people help her get her birthday cards out.  She loved all of us!  Glad we have the gospel that teaches us we will be together again after we die and families really are forever.

Lovin the babies

Bella LOVES her babies.  She feeds them, help them go potty, wraps them in blankets, puts on diapers, etc.  She even helps them play. All of them must sleep with her too (which means they sleep with us).  One of her baby dolls limbs detach so she loves to pull them off and put them back on.  Josh asked her why she kept doing that to her doll.  He just thought it looked painful for the doll.  We are also going through the "I'm not wearing any clothes phase."  She has even learned how to take off her onsies.  then she says, "OOH cold"  I then tell her lets get your clothes on and she strongly says no and says blanket.  I am now waiting for the phase where she must change her outfit 20 times a day!

Teeth

Josh finally lost his 2 front teeth.  I am sure the neighbors wondered what all the screaming was.  Josh was so scared.  It took about an hour to talk to him and work through all the tears and with a Dad that likes to pull out teeth (I had to leave and couldn't watch) he finally got them out.  He kept running away and saying No!  But then Brien had the idea to get the video camera and record it so he can show all the other little kids out there how to get teeth out once they are loose.  With lots of questions and a camera on him, Josh stopped the crying and told everyone who would watch this video what it was like to get your teeth pulled out. Great idea Brien!
